About Me

BEHIND THE LENS
HIRSCH Photography
Photography has always been an important detail of my life. More importantly, life is an important detail of photography. I graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. I have a bachelor's degree in Photography with a minor in Creative Writing. I have been photographing all my life, whether it be nature, abstract images, or portraits. I have a passion for making the unknown known, for making the small seem big, and the irrelevant be stimulating.
A little bit about myself -- I am married to the love of my life, Blake Waller. We are currently missionaries with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, a nationwide organization to help bring the light of Jesus' Gospel to students. I love music, especially piano, metal, and indie rock. I have a passion for helping people, for serving like Jesus served, and for building relationships through photography, music, and any job-setting I am in. I love being outdoors, enjoying God's amazing creation, the mysterious starry skies, and running at sunrise. I am very dedicated to anything I set my mind to do. I paint, play piano and guitar, love cooking and baking, running and yoga, and doing crazy things with my man, Blake Waller. I hope to one day achieve skydiving, going to New Zealand, and visiting all seven continents! I have spent two months in Kenya learning about diverse cultures, preaching, living independently with a Kenyan family, and experiencing the wealthy and poor. My dream is to do mission work with Blake and use photography as a tool to make the world more aware of international issues.
